You will be responsible for the development of components and services used to deliver core platform extensibility features. You will help design, build, and maintain highly scalable services and components for use in our multi-tenant cloud environments across the globe.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment full of continuous change, innovation and experimentation. You will work with both established and cutting-edge technologies like Java, Kafka, Redis, AWS Lambda, and various other AWS Services to build on our micro-service cloud architecture. You should have experience in one or more of these technologies, and a drive to learn and apply new technologies to current or future projects.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Adhere to Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
• Participate in pull requests as a reviewer and author
• Work with support services to monitor components and fix any issues found
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests
• Understand & comply with PCI, HIPAA, and all other applicable compliance regulations
• Collaborate with team members in an agile environment
• Design, develop, and maintain new features that are scalable, available, and reliable

Minimum Requirements

• Demonstrable understanding of scalability, security, and availability in multi-tenant cloud architectures
• Working experience with REST APIs
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related work experience
• Experience in server-side cloud development using Java
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• 2+ years cloud software engineering experience

The ideal candidate would also have experience with:

• Amazon Web Services (EC2, Lambda, Dynamo, S3, SQS, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Spring Boot
• Jenkins
• One or more of the following: Redis, Jersey, Apache HttpClient
• Serverless architecture patterns
• Maven

Work Context

• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Communicates regularly with colleagues and management.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

$80,600.00 - $167,400.00
