Description

As a Software Engineer on the Recruiting Team, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our Applicant Tracking System by building new functionality while ensuring the quality and excellence of our products. Embedded within an agile development team, you will work side by side with other Developers, QA, and Business Analysts. You will write code using your specialized knowledge of coding techniques, tech stacks, and best practices, as well as your knowledge of technical architecture and design. In our highly collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to continually grow as an engineer and tester, and even help mentor others. Help build the candidate application experience of tomorrow.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with team members to clarify requirements in order to meet team goals
  • Facilitate and participate in daily code reviews with the team
  • Provide input to the team to develop cutting-edge solutions to maximize performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities of the solution
  • Develop, test, build and deploy coding solutions for both existing legacy systems and net new development initiatives.
  • Attend Standup, kickoff and team meetings to provide the status of current work, suggest opportunities for improvements and communicate challenges to ensure cohesion with all team members
  • Work with their team in an agile context as it relates to software development
  • Implement solutions utilizing Object Oriented Programming and commonly related Data Structures/Algorithms

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done
  • Knowledge of API’s, Web Services and Forms development
  • Knowledge of SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Basic understanding of NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB and/or Elasticsearch
  • Ability to successfully work within a team and manage a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • 2+ years’ experience engaging with software/test engineers on enterprise level software development projects
  • Understanding of Agile or Lean Software Development experience such as Kanban or Scrum
  • This position will be in the office 3 days a week
  • 2+ years’ experience with OOP, Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Ability to code in a functional or OOP language, preferably C#
  • Positive team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • High degree of organizational skills
  • Self-motivation to learn new methodologies that will enhance job performance
  • 2+ years’ experience with basic programming techniques
