****INSIGHT GLOBAL - INTERNAL OPPORTUNITY - API SOFTWARE ENGINEER****

Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer to join our company. The candidate will be joining a development team that will help build microservices which assist our business in their day-to-day activities including but not limited to Candidate Searching, Hiring, Onboarding, HR & Payroll related functions. They will work with project teams and the business to understand the use cases and collaborate with development teams across the board to build out or enhance the microservices needed to meet the use cases. They will partner with Product, Quality Assurance and UI teams to ensure that the solutions work as expected and correct any issue that may arise. The ideal candidate will be passionate, innovative and push forward on new ideas that can drive our business, troubleshoot problems, and think outside the box.

Must Haves:

· 3+ years of experience in backend development building enterprise level system integrations using RESTful microservices.

· Proficiency in one of these languages – Java, C++, Golang or Python.

· Has experience working with an API Gateway like Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Azure APIM or Kong.

· Strong understanding of modern web application architecture and interactivity flows.

· Design, develop, test, and debug applications and systems of varying degrees of complexity.

· Ability to evaluate and improve performance, scalability, and consistency across applications.

· Write high-quality code following best practices that is robust and easy to maintain with tests.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· BS in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to Haves:

· Experience in Agile methodology.

· Experience with Microsoft Azure.

· Desire to learn new technologies.

· Experience working and creating secure code.

· Knowledgeable about Cloud Native application development standards and best practices.

· Familiarity with CNCF projects.

*Compensation Range 100-130k based on individual experience
