A Software Engineer III is focused on leading development team initiatives in order to complete assigned development and testing projects as defined by the engineering manager. The engineer will focus on delivering high quality software projects and use experiences on time and within budget. The engineer will be responsible for working with product management members to understand the business requirements, then creating and implementing the technical designs to bring new products to market.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned projects as required by your manager with a high level of quality
• Work effectively with your team to complete assigned project initiatives on time and within budget
• Collaborate openly with team members
• Participate in the hiring process by sitting in candidate interviews
• Lead and/or participate in technical design sessions
• Mentor less experienced members of the team
• Improve your development skills over time by learning new technologies
• Lead and/or participate in code reviews

Experience Required

• Knowledge of Object Oriented and Functional development patterns
• Advanced knowledge of data storage technologies like Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB
• Experience in the development of large-scale web and/or mobile applications
• Experience with queuing technologies (Ex: Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Advanced knowledge of internet/web technologies like HTML, Javascript, REST APIs
• Knowledge of C#, .NET 6+, or other C based languages (Ex: Java)
• Experience building and maintaining large scale RESTful APIs

Education/Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
• Certification in development, programming, database administration, or other related fields
• 5+ years of experience in a technology related field

• Communication skills with people of all levels throughout the organization they work for
• An ability to liaise well with others and source information efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Protect the data and systems of Crisis24 and its stakeholders by adhering to policies, reporting incidents and potential problems, completing regular training, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
