Job Description

We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team at Altumint.As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our software development and operations processes. You will be responsible for writing and modifying scripts, assisting with data loads, identifying, and isolating hardware and software issues, and providing support in system administration and development tasks. A general understanding of networking concepts is also required for this position.


Responsibilities
  • Assist with data loads, transfer, and manipulation as needed.
  • Contribute to the management and improvement of infrastructure and cloud-based environments.
  • Maintain and monitor monitoring systems to ensure availability and performance.
  • Use hardware and software knowledge to isolate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Provide support and assistance in system administration tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance software development processes.
  • Write and modify scripts to automate tasks and streamline processes.


Qualifications
  • Development experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software components to effectively troubleshoot and isolate issues.
  • System administration experience, including Linux server administration.
  • Prior experience in a DevOps or related role is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data loads and manipulation techniques.
  • Some experience with PHP, understanding of its syntax and structure.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
  • General understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
