Software Development Intern - QA

We are seeking a software development intern to join our R&D Software Intralogistics System QA team.
As part of your standard tasks, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Your prime focus area would be on assisting, via writing and executing, various types of automated and/or manual test cases for modules in build. You would assist in triaging and debugging test failures. You will work with the scrum team(s), assisting in validating existing issues (via manual and automation testing, writing test cases and automation test code etc.). You will need to be creative and ready to think outside the box, to come up with solutions and concepts to support the team(s) in their release commitments.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $ 18-25 /hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be 18-determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
Core Job Responsibilities:

• Work on research and proof of concepts tasks
• Work in an agile scrum development environment to test and validate deliverables from your team / cross-team for the developed software module(s).
• Willing to take on new and different tasks while also looking for ways to improve our delivery quality.
• Learn, share, and apply new tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Work with team members to test and validate requirements at module and system/solution levels. Have the ability to work with the team to understand the system/module flow and be able to translate requirements to test cases.
• Work on automation testing/manual testing tasks to validate developed software modules/solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to release software products and modules.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Strong CS fundamentals
• Exposure to software testing methodologies (both manual and automated)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Exposure to HTML / JavaScript/database (SQL) concepts
• A good sense of humor and the ability to have fun.
• Having good programming experience in one or more high-level languages (ex: Java, JavaScript, Python).
• A strong desire to learn and grow skillsets.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum software development
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field
