Overview

As part of Data Solutions team, aid in all activities related to the development of solutions within our integrations and BI architecture; working with other groups to design, document, develop, test, debug and implement solutions to support our integrations and BI competencies as well as other strategic data initiatives.

This person will assist the integrations and business intelligence lead developers in planning, coordinating, and assisting in all activities related to the integration of data across various sources into an organized and unified view and enabling the presentation of that data in the BI semantic layer. This individual is also responsible for the monitoring of data flow between databases, servers and Cloud services and assist in identifying and implementing the most suitable DI architecture for the organization’s needs. In addition, will also participate in the planning, coordination, solution development and implementation activities related to the integration of applications and technologies within the organization’s application integration environment. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.

• Understanding of Unix/Linux preferred
• Developer will be responsible for developing technical solutions based on business requirements. Work will be targeted toward the analysis and design required to build ETL and application integration solutions using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)

• Working knowledge of emerging DI products, languages, and standards in support of procurement, development, security, and integration efforts in relation to the Cloud, BI, and big data management
• Will assist in the analysis & generation of ETL (Informatica) mapping specs, establish load strategies, create specifications, and understand the complexity of the dependencies that will guide the overall ETL schedule
• Maintain and modify existing data and application integrations according to prescribed technical specifications
• Working knowledge of PL/SQL for Oracle preferred
• Prior Informatica experience is strongly preferred
• Troubleshoots production issues as needed
• Participate in the walk-throughs of ETL specs
• Responsible for adhering to standards and proper documentation. Strong aptitude for analysis, learning & understanding business functions & needs
• Competency with XML, JSON constructs, and schemas.
• Understanding of project management methodologies
• Experience with securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, authorization, non-repudiation, and data encryption methods.
• Fundamental knowledge of the software development lifecycle including common documentation and testing methods
• Working knowledge of Oracle EBS or related ERP systems and/or related business functions preferred
• Adaptive, effective communication and active listening skills
• Code & QA ETL mapping scripts
• Prior experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.
• Perform quality assurance & Error handling required for the design, development, and testing of system enhancements
• Strong cross-cultural relationship building and influencing at all organizational levels
• The developer will also need to have a deep understanding of the Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, Report Server, Power BI) and assist in the creation of data pipelines to move data from the Data Warehouse to the BI semantic layer, assist in the definition of data authorization rules and create data structures (cubes) to secure the data and present it in Power BI
• Perform problem analysis on system and code issues
• Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques with one or more database vendors such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Perform analysis, design, development (coding), testing, and implementation of prescribed integration and business intelligence solutions in collaboration with other developers and team members
• Analyze client needs and requirements to ensure products that address needs effectively

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of technical training or equivalent experience developing software
• Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or equivalent combination of education, experience, and area of expertise
• Experience with project management methodologies; providing estimates, status, and raising issues
• Experience working with software development processes and tools
• Experience with software development lifecycle including common documentation and testing methods
• Hands-on experience in a technical environment either in an analyst or development role.
