Eniac Systems Inc is looking for a Software Developer/Engineer in Edison, NJ. This position is for a Java Developer to join an Agile team. The application will be designed as a suite of micro-services that will be cloud-enabled and will leverage a high level of test automation and deployment automation to achieve Continuous Integration and Delivery. The team is a cross-functional team responsible for the end-to-end, full stack development of the application. While each team member has a primary skill set, they are also expected to learn and contribute to areas outside of their primary skill set. The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. You will be expected to be a well-regarded and respected individual contributor; possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as proven track record of application development with skills in Java, distributed cache technology and building scalable robust systems.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have experience within an agile environment (preferably Agile) and will have experience with a combination of back end and front-end experience using some of the following technologies: • Java 8, PostgreSQL, Spring MVC, Spring boot, Micro Services, RESTful services and AWS. • Angular 2 or higher, Typescript, NodeJS, ReactJS
Requirements:
- Multi-threaded Programming and Transaction Handling (JMS, Database)
- Some RDBMS experience exposure
- Apache Tomcat
- Excellent Core Java (version 8) with knowledge of Java 1.8 features
- Demonstrate Continual Improvement in terms of Individual Performance, and approach
- Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, security
- RESTful microservices
- Expert in Core Java and design technique as well as experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems/infrastructure for large-scale programs (e.g., Expert Engineers) starting to be firm-wide resources working on projects across the company
- Stays abreast of cutting edge technologies/trends and uses experience to influence application of those technologies/trends to support the business; may give speeches and outside the firm, writes articles
- Log Management with Splunk or ELK
- May be recognized as a leader in Agile and cultivating teams working in Agile frameworks
- Spring Boot
- NoSQL database technologies; preferably Apache Cassandra
- Source code control software (e.g. Git, subversion)
- Sought out as coach for at least one technical skill
- Experience working on high throughput mission critical high-performance platforms which have low error rates
- Java Frameworks (i.e. Spring; Hibernate)
- Is multi-skilled with expertise across software development lifecycle and toolset
