Social Worker (Lmsw) – Hematology/Oncology

Responsibilities

This position provides psychosocial case management services for oncology patients. Services provided are generally crisis oriented, and are geared to assist patients make proper use of the health care system, while improving the outcome of care. The social worker functions as part of a multidisciplinary health care team with providers and other clinical staff at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. In addition, the social worker acts as a resource to physicians and staff, as well as a liaison for the patient.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $63,107 – $77,938 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: Masters degree in social work from an accredited university.

Preferred: N/A

Experience

Required: Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in medical social work required.

Preferred: For positions in Oncology experience preferred but not required

License(s)

Required: Licensed by the Texas Board of Social Work Examiners, valid Texas drivers license.

Preferred: For positions in Oncology, OSW-C Preferred but not required.

Special Skills

Required: Proven ability to work with all ages, socioeconomic and educational levels.

Preferred: EPIC experience preferred but not required.
