Innovators of pop-up greeting cards, FreshCut Paper is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join our growing team.

FreshCut Paper was founded in 2020 by Peter Hewitt, a RISD graduate and creator of products for well known brands including MoMA, Disney, Crate & Barrel, and Tea Forte. Peter recognized the importance Fresh Flowers play in our daily lives, whether brightening a room, or providing comfort to those in need. However, 80% of fresh cut flowers are imported into the United States traveling thousands of miles using airfreight and refrigeration, adding a significant carbon footprint to the industry. Seeking an alternative, Peter spent two years designing and concepting a Pop-up paper flower bouquet. All FreshCut Paper products maintain a low profile, shipping flat yet when opened reveal their expressive and enchanting art in 3 dimensions. FreshCut Paper is a member of 1% for the planet and plants a tree for every product purchased.

Responsibilities


  • Plan and support new social and marketing campaigns to spread awareness for FreshCut Paper and engage our followers. Define strategy and engage with Creative and digital partners to bring the campaigns to life.
  • Develop engaging and creative captions that align with the visual elements, encouraging engagement and brand loyalty
  • Report on social media marketing impact including audience growth, campaign success, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on current social media trends and best practices
  • Develop and nurture relationships with creators and influencers to support content needs and help reach new audiences.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive UGC database, including relevant details such as content type, permissions granted, and contact information of content creators.
  • Seek out collaborations and partnerships with like minded brands to reach new consumers.
  • Be an advocate for the customer and bring forward ideas, issues, and areas of improvement to team members.
  • Day to day community management. Monitor social channels to respond or comment as necessary. Work with the Customer Experience team to resolve customer issues.
  • Manage posting on FreshCut Paper social media properties across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Develop and manage social media content calendar in partnership with Creative, Product, PR, and Operations to tell the story of FreshCut Paper
  • Create and manage a group of ambassador customers to provide feedback on new products, what is working, not working, and what customers are looking for.

Requirements


  • 2+ years experience in social media marketing for consumer brands.
  • Strong planning, organization, and project management skills are a must.
  • Well versed in the unique approach needed for each platform and how to resonate with consumers through creative.
  • Experience sourcing, cultivating, and negotiating with content creators and influencers.
  • Experienced with social media monitoring, measurement, and performance reporting.
  • Good copywriting skills with the ability to think creatively and develop fresh new ideas. Ability to be both persuasive and descriptive.
  • Keen understanding of consumer behaviors and motivations that drive users toward great brands.
  • Photography and graphic design capabilities are nice to have as a supplement to our creative team.
  • Test and learn philosophy to quickly prove hypotheses and find new ways to grow efficiently.
