Job Description

Insomnia Cookies is on a journey to become the most imaginative sweet indulgence brand in the world. As we grow our company and community of Insomniacs, we actively seek a skilled Social Media Coordinator to add to our expanding Marketing team. Based out of our HQ in Center City Philadelphia and reporting to our Social Media Manager. This role will be responsible for managing and executing social media strategies across various platforms to enhance our online presence. The ideal candidate should be passionate about social media, possess excellent communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in social media marketing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation and Scheduling

o Develop engaging and shareable content for our social media channels, including text, images, videos, and other media formats.

o Collaborate with the marketing team to create a content calendar and schedule posts across different platforms using social media management tools.

o Monitor trends and identify opportunities to leverage current events or industry news to create relevant and timely content.

  • Community Management and Engagement

o Monitor social media platforms for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond promptly and professionally.

o Engage with our online community by answering questions, addressing concerns, and fostering positive relationships with our followers.

o Encourage user-generated content and organize contests or campaigns to increase user engagement.

  • Analytics and Reporting

o Track and analyze key social media metrics, such as engagement rates, follower growth, and click-through rates, using social media analytics tools.

o Provide regular reports on social media performance, highlighting successes, trends, and areas for improvement.

o Identify insights from data analysis to optimize social media strategies and increase the effectiveness of future campaigns.

  • Social Media Trends and Research

o Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, features, and best practices to ensure our brand remains relevant and competitive.

o Conduct research on industry competitors, target audience demographics, and consumer behavior to inform content creation and campaign strategies.

o Share relevant insights and recommendations with the team to improve social media performance and enhance brand visibility.

  • Collaboration and Coordination

o Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, design, and customer support, to ensure consistent messaging and brand voice across all social media platforms.

o Collaborate with influencers, brand ambassadors, and partners to develop and execute collaborative campaigns that align with our brand values.

o Attend team meetings and contribute creative ideas and strategies to support the overall marketing objectives.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools such as Sprout Social for content scheduling, monitoring, and analytics.
  • Understanding of each platform's unique features, algorithms, and best practices for organic and paid content.
  • Strong command of written English, with a knack for crafting engaging and error-free social media content.
