Job Summary
Working within the Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) Product team, the primary responsibility of the Smart FM Product Education Leader position is to build value for CBRE and our accounts by working closely with our Product Team to develop and deliver education experiences and materials about our differentiated Smart FM products that will be launched to market.
Smart FM connects our client’s fragmented building management, automation, and control systems, that have historically been sourced from many different industry providers, adds innovative IoT sensor-based technologies, and applies analytics to the aggregated big data set, and enables smart data driven actions to be taken in the day-to-day delivery of our FM services.
This role will partner with leaders and across the product organization to design the education strategy for Smart FM products of focus, ensuring synchronized efforts and cross-disciplinary cohesion through the education process. Responsibilities will include strategy contribution, product adoption through building education and content experience that inform, and upskill end users, project management, facilitation, instructional design, quality control throughout process, and productizing the learning experience.
The primary goal of our education efforts is to ensure employees within our business understand the product offerings, value to our business and our clients, and how the products integrate with our core product offerings. Specific target audiences are made up of Sales, Solutions, Operations, and account teams. To accomplish this, the Product Education Manager will be part of a cross-pillar Product Education team, with an assigned area of focus, ensuring the right materials are developed for each product to target the correct audiences, chipping in to consistency of the go-to-market messaging across the organization. The Product Education Manager will uphold learning within the organization, specializing in the best-in-class development and delivery of all assigned education projects.
Crucial Duties And Responsibilities
The Product Manager will handle several products at a time, and will act as a cross-functional education partner to their team members as required.
Plan And Build
Contribute to education roadmap for assigned products, including planning delivery, instructional design planning by identifying gaps in product knowledge and include feedback based on the training materials.
Have a deep and extensive knowledge of Facilities Management Operations &Management, Building Automation Systems, and services. Become well-versed in the competitive landscape of assigned products and similar product offerings to ensure that CBRE’s product differentiation vs competition is well defined, articulated and understood.
Partner closely with product owners and other product team members to build and education materials, including eLearning, workshops, podcasts and scaled content that drives engagement, product usage and practices
Understand the intricate customer journey of a GWS client and ensure each product result is developed with target audience and use case applied.
Differentiate And Innovate
Partner with Sales and Solutions Team to expand upon current education offerings and design new materials based on feedback and needs
Maintain industry knowledge of assigned pillar, ensuring education strategies are meeting the demands of the learners and are up to date with industry trends and developments in product training.
Contribute to learning technology evaluations as needed
Mainstream And Educate
Partner with Product Development Team to advise distinct target audiences (e.g., sector leaders, account directors, sales, etc.) about assigned products to ensure information about our products are consistently distributed across broad, relevant audiences who can advocate for the product(s) across all target business areas. This includes facilitation, attendance, and management of regular product education sessions for appropriate team members.
Work closely with various teams to ensure mainstreaming targets are met and the Operations Team is provided the resources they need to understand the product. Report gaps and determine solutions to ensure they are closed quickly.
Supervising the entire product pillar education, including the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality content. Coordinating training logistics such as scheduling and delivery to ensure optimal learning outcomes. Providing coaching and support to partners, offering individualized one-on-one sessions or other forms of assistance as needed to drive success.
Manage And Report
Be responsible for the day -to -day operations for delivering instructor-led and scaled education experience for audiences.
Meet with Product Development Team and Product Owners frequently to ensure learner outcomes, strategy and timelines are met.
Apply surveys and feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs, finding opportunities for improvement and ensuring that participants gain tangible benefits from the training.
Project lead all assigned tasks, build mechanism for reporting, and ensure dashboards are accurate at all times
Responsible for calendar planning and coordinating all sessions for assigned projects.
Responsible for ensuring accuracy of attendance and reporting on all education session in LMS
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION And QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Prior work experience in IoT or smart buildings strongly preferred
  • Technologically savvy
  • Ability to quickly process feedback and make changes to education processes or materials as needed
  • Exceptional leadership presence and sophisticated communication skills
  • Problem solving and root-cause identification skills
  • 8+ years of relevant Facilities Management / technical Services experience
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. OTHER SKILLS And ABILITIES
Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.
Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Smart FM Education Lead position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Smart FM Education Lead position is $165,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
