Job Description

Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Remote

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Type: Long Term W2 Contract

Note: Fully Remote

Required Skills

  • Well versed in *nix Operating Systems (we use CentOS and Ubuntu LTS).
  • Comfortable using software revision control (e.g. GIT).
  • 5+ years of US experience as in a SRE role
  • MySQL in a high-performance distributed environment.
  • Some experience administering Linux “web” servers, at scale.
  • Working knowledge of DNS, HTTP, TLS, web security.
  • Scaling for a high traffic web / services environment.
  • Good communication (and listening) skills.
  • Experience with networking troubleshooting using tools such as TCP Dump.
  • Configuration management.
  • Very comfortable with SSH, Bash & SH, pipes, common UNIX tools.
  • Continuous Integration, and test automation frameworks.
  • Infrastructure as code (Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Terraform).
