Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking an experienced Site Manager for its Convent, LA Facility. The Convent Site Manager also has managerial responsibility for the Brookhaven MS Facility.

The Site Manger role is a key member of the management team Industrial Gases Southern Subregion. This position will have day to day responsibility with a broad range of duties focused on ensuring all aspects of operational discipline are in place and functioning properly for the Convent, LA and Brookhaven, MS facilities. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with the plant, distribution, and regional support teams as well as contractors. The position collaborates with the downriver maintenance team.

The Convent facility consists of two large ASU plants with both pipeline and merchant product lines. The site produces compressed O2 and N2 which is transported via pipeline to local customers, and the site produces LOX, LIN, and LAR which is transported via liquid bulk trailers. The Brookhaven MS facility produces both pipeline and merchant CO2.

Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Achieving environmental compliance targets
• Handle plant budget
• Maintain strong relationship with customers.
• Develop and implement projects for safety, reliability, and productivity.
• Development of site personnel at Convent and Brookhaven sites.
• Safety performance, reduction of recordable injuries, BSP compliance, distribution safety and process safety management
• Work daily with Local Business Manager on customer requirements
• Support of all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Convent and Brookhaven sites, including supervising operators and maintenance technicians
• Provide support to key distribution initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Strong manufacturing/production background and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent operations experience.
