Job Summary
To lead the site team to ensure that the product portfolio is manufactured to the required quality, yield, throughput, cost and in sufficient quantity to meet customer demand/business need, without compromise to health, safety and environment performance.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manages organization operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies
  • Creates and fosters a work environment conducive to safe work conditions and high employee morale
  • Drives continuous improvement and operational management processes through the implementation of the Aurorium operational excellence system
  • To ensure that appropriate company standards are understood and are implemented.
  • Meets compliance and reporting requirements and ensures completed work adheres to all local, state & federal regulations
  • Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and arrangements
  • To ensure risk assessments of all work activities are performed and regularly reviewed to ensure adequate control measures are in place to prevent Major Accidents.
  • Actively monitors the workplace for compliance with the Health, Safety and Environment program and report findings to the appropriate Manager
  • To ensure that the individual operational managers function according to the
  • Conducts performance management of direct reports
  • Drives the site productivity programs and operational management processes
  • Overall responsibility for the management of Process Safety Hazards at the site.
  • To ensure that employees, including permanent, temporary or fixed contract workers under your control, understand and comply with the site’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Establishes of a vision for the site and the development of a strategic plan in coordination with business and corporate objectives
  • Fosters good industrial relations through effective relationships with employees and external agencies at all levels.
  • To request the resources necessary for ensuring that all appropriate mitigation measures are in place to prevent foreseeable accidents at the site as identified during the hazard analysis process.
  • Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly
  • Company’s safety and environmental policies, that they comply with current US legislation, OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulations, and that they follow industry current accepted best practices.
  • Leads the long term and short term planning, as well as execution of the annual capital plan
  • To ensure that site emergency response planning arrangements are effectively implemented, tested and reviewed.

  • To ensure that the activities on the site are undertaken in accordance with the
  • Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times
  • Leads and directs managers, engineers, professionals, and administrative employees
  • In accordance with the site Emergency Procedures, to perform the role of Site Strategic Commander in the event of a Major Emergency.
  • Drives profitability through control and leveraging of manufacturing costs, inventory, cost of goods, procurement initiatives, and vendor relationships, and use of automation
  • Drives improvement regarding the plant equipment and other mechanical and electrical systems
  • Company’s safety and environmental policies.
  • Through Health & Safety Manager, and Environmental Manager, ensure the necessary standards and procedures are developed to ensure effective safe & compliant operations and that responsibilities are properly assigned and accepted at all levels.
  • Directs and oversees enforcement organization's personal and process safety programs and work safety standards to protect the environment, employees and the company against harm
  • To ensure that all existing and new site operations are assessed for hazard and operability, compliance with appropriate chemical industry standards, and that safe systems of work are in place

Specific Role Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or an advanced degree
  • Preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in production or plant management, or engineering
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in an FDA regulated environment
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Knowledge of standard budgeting and cost control techniques and have the ability to learn software packages quickly as required. Candidates with related SAP experience are preferred
