Sit-Down Forklift Operator Jobs

• Receive and distribute products or packages throughout facility
• Assist with wrapping and loading shipments safely for outbound trucks
• Load and Unload containers, trailers and railcars with large quantities of goods from receiving floor to assigned locations on the racks; to temporary staging locations; and between warehouse buildings
• All other duties as assigned by the Foreman
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Records and submits daily/weekly/monthly/activity logs
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety in a busy environment

Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Qualification requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• 2+ years’ of experience as a gas powered, industrial Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment
• Must have Sit Down Forklift certification and valid Driver's License
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment
• Team oriented thinking

Physical demands and abilities

• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
