About The Position
The Shopper Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, measuring, and optimizing in-store retail marketing efforts. This person will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and operations to create and execute effective programs that drive point-of-sale velocity. As the Shopper Marketing Manager, you will develop retail materials that capture the attention of shoppers, educate them about the brand, and help drive purchase at retail. The role reports into the Head of Retail Strategy.
Responsibilities

• Scope will include all Onnit products sold through retail sales channels, with primary focus on Alpha Brain and secondary on New Mood
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver coordinated omni-channel programs and initiatives
• Oversee asset development and in-store execution, ensuring program and brand compliance
• Partner with retail sales, marketing, and operations to develop programs and assets while staying within a specified budget
• In collaboration with Product Development, develop and administer guidance and training on asset usage and instore merchandising
• Create strategy and execute regional/national in-store retail programs, based on business goals, priorities, and opportunities
• Conduct in-depth reviews of market trends and recommend relevant updates to strategy
• Develop and maintain trade spend budget
• Find creative ways to drive retail consumers back to Onnit’s digital platforms
• Provide perspective related on-shelf packaging design changes and updates
• Brief internal teams and agencies on programs, goals, and assets
• Use data to analyze program results and provide regular updates to Onnit leadership

Requirements

• Experience working with distributors, brokers, and agencies
• Experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry, with an emphasis on VMS
• Experience and skilled in Syndicated Data
• Experience with omni-channel VMS brand is preferred
• Proven ability to create an execute strategies and to operate both autonomously and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
• Strong knowledge of retail channels, including MULO, Grocery, Natural, Drug, and Club, etc.
• 6+ years in shopper marketing role
• Proficiency working with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.
