Job Description
The Shipping Office Clerk is responsible for coordinating all packing functions relating to parcel movement out of the warehouse, maintaining prescribed service levels and quality assurance while keeping costs at a minimum, to ensure meeting departmental, company, and customer objectives.
Essential Functions
  • Outbound order reconciliation.
  • Ensure sufficient amounts of inventory supplies are purchased and maintained.
  • Interacts with employees, other department leads, and all Supervisors to ensure utilization and performance levels are met.
  • Routing guide ownership.
  • Interact with customer service.
  • Maintains and reports all OF cost per line metrics.
  • PO Entry
  • Tracking and billing of warehouse miscellaneous activities.
Required Skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • A comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations is necessary.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must value diversity and exhibit a leadership style that empowers, coaches, mentors, and fosters a cohesive team environment.
  • Must be a strong team player with a firm, personal commitment toward the business and its customers.
  • Must be PC literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
Required Experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Five years of similar experience.
  • High School Degree or GED a minimum.
