Job Description

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk 1 responsible for the receipt and shipment of incoming materials, supplies, and products. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

The Clerk 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments. The Clerk 1 will be assigned to one specific department; Shipping, OTC (Over the Counter), or Inventory, however may be assigned to work in any of the departments listed. The duty and responsibility expectations will fall under the scope of the department.

Responsibilities

Depending on the department assigned, duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Picking, packing, and manifesting medications or OTC items in a timely manner
  • Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used
  • Verifies items against the record of shipment and inspects condition
  • Operate automated packing system
  • Shipping and OTC-

  • Audits incoming shipments to assure quality and accuracy
  • Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry
  • Develops and executes replenishment strategies
  • Conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts

Required Qualifications

  • Clerks possess hand strength to grasp and twist item continuously
  • Clerks must be able to perform the duties required in core areas
  • Clerks must have the ability to reach above waist and shoulders frequently
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Clerks must have the ability to lift 5-30lbs frequently and 31-50lbs occasionally
  • Clerks must have the ability to stand during entire work shift
  • Clerks must have the ability to work around pharmaceutical products

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Warehouse/distribution experience

Shift: 5:30am-4pm MT or 6:30am-5pm MT. 4-day work week, 10 hours per day, Saturdays are included in work schedule. Days of the week will be assigned once hired. OT required when needed.
