This position earns a minimum starting wage of $17.00/hour, depending on experience and has the opportunity for performance-based increases in the first 90 days and annually thereafter. A Day in the Life of your role in Shipping and Receiving, Production:

As a full-time Shipping and Receiving Production Associate, your role in the operations of our business is critical. Your primary responsibility is to schedule shipments of orders (this may utilize ground shipment carriers such as FedEx or UPS, as well as various LTL & full truckload carriers) including creating packing lists & BOL's. Your experience in loading & unloading trucks by hand or by using pallet jacks/forklift helps our team move their high-quality work. Each job will require you to check & sign off on Certificate of Conformance. For each shipment you will need to determine what the customer's favored method by reviewing shipping instructions which may involve you to palletize & shrink wrapping pallets as needed. Each week will have you monitoring stock parts & assigned material inventories making sure to notify appropriate personnel to replenish. You will find yourself communicating with customers & carriers via email and phone as needed. A big part of your role is to insure all orders & samples received in shipping daily are ready to be shipped & invoiced for that day. We take pride in our on-time shipments.

Responsibilities can vary daily and may not require an entire shift therefore, employees become cross trained and can expect to be scheduled on any and all operations based upon the needs of the jobs coming thru production at that time.

Qualifications For a Shipping And Receiving Associate

• Must have knowledge & experience filling out BOL's, packing lists and calculating items such as dimensional weights & freight classifications. This knowledge should include the capability of fluidly using Microsoft Office programs - Word and Excel being used most often.
• Capability to stand, sit, squat or reach up to 10 hours per day as required by the specific job.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements, such as lifting up to 50 lbs. & pull/push up to 650 lbs. using a pallet jack is mandatory.
• High school diploma OR equivalent in experience.
• Competent experience using the internet to access customer and freight portals; as well as, feel comfortable communicating with customers, vendors and freight companies using email and the phone is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative shipping position (in a manufacturing facility desired).
• Must have great attendance, be willing to work as a team, and take pride in their performance and the products they make.
• Proficiency to understand and do math, geometry and measuring using a ruler and caliper.
• Must have attention to detail & be well organized. Accuracy is critical to this job function.
• Experience driving a forklift is a plus, but will provide training if needed.

WORK SCHEDULE FOR OUR SHIPPING AND RECEIVING, PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE-

This shipping and receiving manufacturing position works the 1st shift and typically has a 4-day schedule of Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional Friday shifts may be required to meet demand.
