Job Description
Responsible for processing a variety of documents required for the shipment of finished goods and the receiving of raw materials in accordance with established procedure.
  • Respond to customer inquiries courteously, accurately and timely. Investigate a variety of issues including, but not limited to, shipping issues, inventory levels, and costs. Refer complex issues to the next higher level.
  • Comply with all established organization rules including, but not limited to, work rules, employment policies, safety procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Receive inbound deliveries by reviewing contents, order records, manifests, and invoices to verify accuracy of incoming shipment. Record receipts in computer system and arrange for storage according to established procedures.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials and record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies in to the computer system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks including filing, sorting, printing, copying, and faxing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Prepare outbound product with appropriate seals and labels and stage for pick up using a variety of equipment including scales, postage meters, hand tools, power tools, and hand trucks.
Required Skills
Required Experience
  • Ability to enter data into established computer programs, create simple word processing and spreadsheet documents, correspond by e-mail, and other related computer-based activities.
  • Train back- ups
  • Lead, train, guide and direct hourly team members in a timely and fair manner.
  • Ensure the safe operations of all tools and equipment related to proper start-up, operation and shut down of the particular machinery.
  • Maintain accurate inventories
  • Issuing Product into PI Sheet in SAP
  • Locate, understand and follow the Process Instructions Sheets.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping and receiving documents.
  • Work in cold environment
  • Follow GMP’s Process & Procedures
  • Basic troubleshooting of normal operations, determine deviations and take appropriate actions
  • Require driving PIT (reach truck; pacer; electric walki
  • Ability to communicate courteously, clearly, and effectively with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and truck drivers.
  • Basic maintenance of machines as required (cleaning, adjustments)
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Computer Competency (Excel/Outlook)
  • Weighing Final Racks of WIP Product
  • 1 year of manufacturing or equivalent experience
  • Other duties as assigned
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Able to follow FIFO (First in First Out)
  • Perform proper quality checks in a timely manner
  • Properly fill out and understand appropriate paperwork
Education/Experience/Skills
Required Skills:
  • Practice proper GMP’s and good housekeeping
  • Work in a safe and effective manner
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a High Scholl diploma GED or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills working in a team environment
  • Ability to accurately follow written and/or verbal instructions
  • Experience in operating food processing machines
  • Minimum computer skills Excel / SAP
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written
