Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager and Project Manager, this position will be primarily responsible for supporting the service project manager by performing the duties listed below. Successful performers in this position will have the ability to develop, maintain and enhance ongoing relationships were Service Customers. This position is designed to develop Service Sales Engineers/ Service Project Managers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be able to obtain equipment pricing from appropriate vendors.
  • Strong math and analytical skills are required.
  • Determine appropriate tasking for a maintenance contract and prepare booking documentation.
  • Load Calculations
    • Using third party software, prepare load calculations to determine cooling and heating requirements.
  • Clearly conveying the scope of work for sold jobs to the field.
  • Close sales transactions and keep customers happy.
  • Participate in pre-job meetings.
  • Use the multiple software packages provided by the Company to prepare estimates for a variety of work including sheet metal, piping and equipment/parts replacements.
  • Selling Maintenance Contracts
    • Develop an understanding of the scope for ACCOCare , ACCOGuard and ACCOServe maintenance contracts.
    • Review all ACCOGuard and ACCOServe work orders to determine if work performed is covered by the contract or is billable.
    • Determine appropriate tasking for a maintenance contract and prepare booking documentation.
  • Prospect for future customers continuously.
  • Prepare Customer Proposals
    • Includes repairs, unit replacements and maintenance contracts.
    • This will include clearly defining scope, exclusions and general conditions.
  • Communicating with Field Personnel
    • Clearly conveying the scope of work for sold jobs to the field.
    • Be available to assist the field in problem solving in the middle of jobs
    • Participate in pre-job meetings.
  • Business Ethics and Professional Conduct – At all times external and internal customers, vendors and fellow employees must be treated fairly, honestly and with the intent of maintaining a mutually beneficial long-term relationship.
  • Estimating job costs and developing scope for proposals requires takeoff skills be develop.
  • Visit jobsites or obtain information from field technicians to prepare job cost estimates and alternatives solutions for customer problems.

    • Visit jobsites or obtain information from field technicians to prepare job cost estimates and alternatives solutions for customer problems.

    • Use the multiple software packages provided by the Company to prepare estimates for a variety of work including sheet metal, piping and equipment/parts replacements.
  • Prepare Ductwork and Piping takeoffs
    • Estimating job costs and developing scope for proposals requires takeoff skills be develop.
    • Must be able to read construction drawings.
    • Strong math and analytical skills are required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Good verbal, written, listening, and computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well with a variety of personality types.
  • Understand the necessity of maximizing the productivity of our technician workforce.
  • Minimum of 3 years in the HVAC Service Industry and an associate degree in HVAC. Must have and mid-level understanding of HVAC and Control Systems.
  • Able to participate in customer relations issues and find solutions to solve customer disputes.
  • Good organizational and time management skills are a required in order to handle multiple issues.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
  • Good technical knowledge in HVAC equipment, ductwork, and piping.

  • Operate and drive a motor vehicle.
  • Possess a range of motion sufficient to look into the interior of air conditioning equipment.
  • Regular and routine attendance is required.
  • Frequently use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, and feel.
  • Regularly lift, push, pull, carry, and/or move up to 10-15 pounds, and occasionally up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms and at times reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets.
  • Frequently operate computer keyboard, telephone, and mobile device.
  • Regularly talk, hear, and use specific vision abilities of Close vision and Distance vision.
  • Occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl (for reviewing a job site and/or of filling photocopier/printers).
  • Ability to climb both fixed and extension ladders and raise a roof hatch.

TYPICAL HOURS:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

TRAVEL:

25% of the time to and from the primary office to regional branch offices and customer job site.

Competitive Wages:

$80,000 to $140,000 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
