Summary


As a Service Assistant Superintendent, your contribution to provide a well-built, quality home is critical to the growth of WB. You will work in a support role to learn and grow your knowledge of construction practices as well as build relationships with subcontractors and vendors to create a synergy during the construction process. Duties/Responsibilities


  • Interact with various departments regarding the overall business expectations and plan.
  • Attend weekly construction meetings and community visits to maintain an ongoing understanding of community status and job construction processes.
  • Support the project manager and/or superintendents to oversee the homebuilding construction through all phases to deliver quality homes, safely, on or under budget, and within the timeframe provided in the business plan.
  • Ability to use and understand computer programs in Microsoft Suite and construction software to communicate project information.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with vendors and labor contractors.
  • Support strategies to achieve construction goals for their community.


Qualifications


  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines
  • New home construction management experience with a volume home builder
  • Having proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Knowledge of land development, residential plans, and construction drawings preferred
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills; high sense of urgency; ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Make decisions and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards preferred
  • A genuine desire to find ways of implementing best practices, refining processes, and tools


Essential Functions


  • Typical work schedule, Monday through Friday
  • Lift or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move around the work environment including stairs and construction sites
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
