Job Description

Summary: WindRiver offers a wide variety of dining options including Citico's restaurant, the Grill at WindRiver, the WindRiver Club Snack Bar, and an array of events both on and off location. As a Server/Bartender, you will be responsible for taking care of the guests as you guide them through menu selection, answer questions, and most importantly ensure an unforgettable experience. You will also be responsible for preparation beforehand, work during the service shift, cleaning for a fresh start the next day, and other assigned responsibilities for WindRiver.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak/events
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the bar and bar storage areas
  • Assist, as needed, with greeting/seating guests and filling glasses
  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experience; ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to requests.
  • Accurate completion of closing paperwork and cash handling
  • Perform other duties on property as assigned
  • Attend all educational, safety, etc. staff meetings
  • Properly date and store all items including equipment, perishable foods, and open wine
  • Work at each of our dining establishments to accommodate business needs
  • Must comply with elevated COVID sanitization and cleanliness routines
  • Clear guest tables and properly reset tables for service
  • Manage bar inventory at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Up-sell established menu items or specials to maximize food and beverage revenues
  • Maintain professional appearance, behavior, posture, and hygiene
  • Set up bars, including glassware, dcor, bar fruit, garnishes and chilling beverages
  • Ensure all utilities and equipment (TVs, fans, grill, etc.) are turned off at the end of the day
  • Provide attentive and polite service throughout meal or event
  • Check identification of guests for legal drinking age
  • Prepare specialty drinks and pour wine and beverages during service
  • Follow daily/weekly/monthly routines to maintain acceptable standard of operation
  • Adhere to WindRiver's regularly updated COVID-19 response bulletin
  • Memorize menu items and specials for professional recitation
  • Assist the regular cleaning and preparation for service
  • Precisely take food and beverage orders and enter into the point-of-sale system
  • Assist setting up, serving, and tearing down of events both on and off location
  • Accommodate special requests that the kitchen/grill can deliver for the guest
  • Maintain professional composure while managing large groups quickly and efficiently
  • Follow daily opening and closing checklists
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment


Qualifications:

  • 1 year in a bartending role with a full bar; country club, hotel banquet, or fine dining a plus
  • 2 years' experience in full-service restaurant
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old for serving alcohol
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Current TN ABC license or ability to renew or obtain license

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to improvise and make decisions based on business or guest needs
  • Excellent track record of communication skills working as a team player
  • Must be willing to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts
  • Strong organizational skills with the multiple dining tables and bar seating
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Understanding of restaurant etiquette

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing 55lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.
