Description


Day-to-day Responsibilities:
  • Education and experience
  • Maintain and support the customer's HPC cluster
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or 3 years of relevant experience
  • Has the technical ability to troubleshoot Dell servers and server environments, swap or replace server components such as DIMMs, CPUs, motherboards and PCIe cards
  • Linux command-line familiarity (Red Hat Certified a big plus)
  • Professional
  • DLC (direct liquid cooling) familiarity or experience a plus, but can be taught quickly.
  • May need to login to systems to capture logs for support
  • Ability to use step ladder
  • Work location is a datacenter environment
  • Tracks support case history to help identify trends
  • Role and responsibilities
  • Willing to take additional steps to resolve issues
  • Effectively communicates with other technical personnel
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Will be interfacing directly with customer
  • Manages all support cases to ensure they're completed in a timely manner and pursue to completion of issues
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Familiarity with Dell servers, cabling, etc. in a High Performance (HPC) Computing environment with 100s of servers and other hardware
  • Works with Dell Support to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues
  • Effective communicator
  • Computer science related education will be a plus
  • Self-starter/proactive
