We are hiring immediately for an experienced warehouse worker as a Senior Warehouse Associate at our distribution facility. Your experience and knowledge of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, and light assembly shows how it impacts others. We are Wesco. Here is what you can expect:
- Physically handles incoming shipments verifying purchased products and enters order receipts into WESCOM
- Ensures quality assurance by recording verbal and written complaints from customers. Maintains return material authorization/credit memo (RMA/CM) forms pending return of materials
- Maintain inventory and service levels to meet all necessary customer requirements and delivery deadlines
- Sells, assembles, and packs over-the-counter sales. Assists with telephone inquiries and orders directed to the counter and maintains counter stock
- Operating cutting equipment, hand and power tools to process orders
- Pulls, packs, weighs, and labels materials for shipment; prepare bills of lading and express receipts and local delivery records
- Administers preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety practices. Ensures work areas are kept safe and safety protocols are followed
- Acts as training resource for less experienced workers, and assists with training of new employees
What you need to apply:
- Prior experience operating forklifts and/or other powered industrial equipment
- Strong background in all areas of warehousing including shipping, receiving, inventory and quality control
- High School degree or equivalent required
- First aid certification and forklift license are an asset
- Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products preferred
- Strong analytical, math, reading, writing and problem-solving skills
- 2 years previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing or retail company
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
