Senior VP, Transportation & Logistics

A large, multi-billion-dollar client of CRG is seeking a Senior VP of Transportation & Logistics to join their team. This organization, which has business functions spanning from manufacturing to shipping/transportation services, is a stable, growing company that is a true leader in their respective industries. Winning multiple awards in 2022, this highly acclaimed organization focuses on maintaining a customer-centric mindset through acting on innovative ideas.

Salary/Compensation: $250,000-$350,000 + 25% Bonus

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm *ON-SITE*

Location: Charlotte, NC, Advance, NC or Arcadia, WI

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight of the Transportation Organization to ensure the long-term growth, stability, and effectiveness of the business.
• Review analytical reports and KPI monitoring for each department and validate that each are meeting their set goals.
• Lead company business development function by helping guide in new areas of business opportunity.
• Interacts with Senior Executive Leadership to report on business functions.
• Maintain knowledge and oversight of TMS and help drive innovation and implementation to keep the organization evolving in more efficient manners.
• Manages the functions of purchasing/procurement, security/safety, compliance, and operations.
• Oversee operations of all carrier relationships.
• Own P&L, and work alongside the management team to create short term and long-term labor-needs plans.
• Foster company culture and work with leaders to ensure company beliefs and policies are followed in all departments.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to influence and lead others.
• Experience in fleet operations management (LTL, Truckload, Carrier Operations, Third Party Operations, Brokerage, etc.)
• Ability to develop short term and long-term business plans/goals.
• 10+ years’ experience within the transportation and logistics industry.
• Knowledge of TMS, Yard Maintenance System (YMS), Track and Trace System, and other Supply Chain affiliated software.
