To accomplish that and help drive and support our next wave of high growth, Paper is currently looking for a Senior Visual Designer.

As a Senior Visual Designer at Paper, you’ll help a multi-disciplinary team build immersive learning experiences - from narrative-based game worlds to animations and UI. You’ll work closely with multiple squads across the platform to help create a single artistic vision based on insights and feedback from our students.

  • Work with Marketing to align the Product and external marketing.
  • Contribute to the Design System as the artistic voice of the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-disciplinary squads across a varied platform.
  • Familiar with gamification (point and reward systems).
  • Experience working with Marketing and Brand.
  • Experience in Character and World Design.
  • Familiar with how visuals/animation integrate with the user interface of a product.
  • Knowledge of the software development process.
  • Experience contributing to Design Systems alongside Product Design and Engineering as a creative voice.
  • Experience working with a Product team.
  • Proficiency in your tool of choice, such as Lottie and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Regardless of your background, you have a passion for creating engaging and delightful experiences for students.
  • Passion for the EdTech industry and making a positive impact on students’ lives.
  • In-depth knowledge of typography, iconography, color, space, and texture to create a compelling visual experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Visual Designer, minimum of two years experience in animation.

Nice to Haves:

  • Coaching and mentoring more junior designers or those outside of the visual design field/focus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience working closely with UX and Learning Designers.

Please include your portfolio when you apply, and be prepared to talk through your specific input on design for each product/project presented.

Job perks:

  • We’re growing fast, and so will your career.
