Department Overview

The Senior Vendor Manager oversees/manages strategic, critical and/or complex vendor relationship(s) through all stages of the agreement lifecycle, in alignment with relevant TD frameworks/methodologies, and with business and enterprise objectives. Provides leadership, direction and coaching to teams(s) while partnering with business and executive stakeholders within a line of business and/or across the Bank. Oversees/manages Enterprise vendor(s)/VM teams partnering with all TD and vendor stakeholders to generate a holistic approach to enterprise VM as assigned.
  • Responsible to oversee maintenance and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Help drive sound decision making for the team.
  • Assist in managing a Governance, Control and Oversight environment for a portfolio with high Regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the various aspects of aligning and improving our Governance, Control and Oversight processes and functions related to our Partnership Programs.
  • Owner of Quality Monitoring & Oversight functions related to our Partnership Program.
  • Responsible to define future oversight strategy and drive continuous improvement of the program.
  • Responsible to drive enhancements to our overall Quality Monitoring and Testing program, focusing specifically on automation and related efficiencies.
  • Work closely with Team Members and Directs, ensuring efficient and effective execution of requirements with high attention to detail.
  • Manage strategic relationship(s) with key TD Business Management, Control Partners, Executive teams, and our Partners.
  • Regulatory background specific to Credit Cards/Unsecured Lending.
  • Responsible to assist with Internal and External Audits/Exams/Assessments as applicable to the functions performed by your team. Such duties would include pulling together evidence, crafting response memos and discussions with auditors.

  • Leads the development and delivery of policies and programs to support business/enterprise objectives
  • Supervises and provides leadership for the development of staff including responsibility for interviewing, hiring, training, developing and performance evaluations
  • Manages strategic relationship(s) with key TD business management and executive teams
  • Accountable for vendor relationship(s) with significant impact to the organization
  • Ensures vendor relationships are continuously optimized and providing strategic value to the organization
  • Manages portfolio with high regulatory requirements
  • Oversees/manages multiple strategic, high-profile and/or enterprise vendor relationships impacting stakeholders across many lines of business
  • Responsible for the execution of strategies/initiatives to achieve a high quality vendor service while supporting the growth objectives of the line of business and the Bank
  • Takes the lead in the development of strategic direction, operating budget, delivery of business objectives, efficiencies, innovation, and people management

Job Requirements
