The role


We are looking for a results-driven, passionate and engaging leader with prior experience in Liquidity, Treasury, Capital analysis and review. The Senior Director: Liquidity, Treasury & Capital Oversight will build and lead the team responsible for SoFi’s second line of defense oversight of the full Liquidity Risk book of work, including Regulatory, Internal Audit and strategic program initiatives. Working closely with the Business Units, Risk, Finance, and Capital Markets teams, this member of SoFi’s Risk Analytics team will oversee asset-liability models, liquidity stress testing and capital markets initiatives.


This dynamic role requires a leader who can collaborate across multiple senior stakeholders, business units, capital markets, treasury, FP&A, accounting, legal and other teams to develop a team of talented professionals and drive the 2nd line of defense oversight.

What you’ll do:


The Senior Director: Liquidity, Treasury & Capital Oversight will help SoFi enhance the 2nd line of defense by doing the following:


  • Work collaboratively with various teams and functions of the firm to help provide strong 2nd line oversight to the ALCO reporting and analytics framework
  • Prepare recommendations and lead discussions to enhance the firm’s Market Risk/Hedging and ALM strategies
  • Provide credible challenge to strategic Treasury projects and the Market Risk/Hedging and ALM team
  • Direct the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary


What you’ll need:


  • 5+ years managerial experience
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, prior experience must be in Treasury, ALM, liquidity risk/strategy, funding, capital markets, or risk management disciplines at a bank, asset manager, or other financial services institution
  • Knowledge of and experience with LCR, CCAR, or enhanced prudential standards of the Dodd-Frank Act a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience modeling loans, deposit products, fixed income securities, interest rate sensitivities, and funds transfer pricing (FTP)
  • Proficient in content creation for executive summary and senior management review packages
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, accounting, or related field; CFA, MBA, or FRM a plus
  • Experience modeling balance sheet dynamics, cash flows and liquidity risks preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to rates / credit / fixed income markets, securitized assets and/or warehouse funding activities
  • Python and Tableau skills preferred

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
