The Senior Staff Accountant is a member of the Tours Accounting team and is responsible for the oversight of accounting for respective business units. Accounting tasks will include balance sheet account reconciliations, month-end close, preparation of budgets, forecasts, revenue recognition, audit schedules, and any related analysis. Key emphasis of this role will be in the ShotLink / TEL (including golf carts business) / Golf Technology / and Networking areas.


Qualifications


  • Attention to detail and the ability to complete task with a high degree of accuracy
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, emphasis in Excel required
  • 5-8 years of accounting experience
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP
  • Workday experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA candidate preferred


Responsibilities/Duties


Responsible for all aspects of accounting for respective business area; including month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of budgets, forecast, billing, audit schedules, and any analysis related to business units.


Month-end close activities


  • Prepare department variance analysis
  • Prepare and record monthly accruals, revenue recognition, prepaids and inventory entries
  • Reviewing transactions for accuracy, and prepare any necessary journal entries
  • Review financial statements for accuracy
  • Support an accurate and timely month-end close


Balance Sheet Reconciliations


  • Prepare audit schedules
  • Resolve any reconciling items
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation


Bank Reconciliation


  • Reconcile assigned bank accounts


Prepare annual budgets and forecasts


  • Maintain accurate forecast and budget workpapers
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain budgets and forecasts in system of record by using information from contracts, business units and historical trends.


Ongoing Duties


  • Additional duties as assigned.
