Job Description

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate for a contract role for one of our clients, a discovery-stage biotechnology company in Eugene, OR that is developing next-generation biologics for autoimmune diseases and cancer. Position type: Long-term contract opportunity with benefits


Workplace: Onsite in Eugene, OR


Schedule: Monday- Friday business hours


Pay rate: $25-40/hour DOE.


Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for conducting screening and mechanism of action studies with biologics in the areas of cancer and autoimmune disease. Experience in general laboratory procedures, strong attention to detail, and competence in assay development, data interpretation, and troubleshooting is a must. Report writing will also be required. Experience in working with automated laboratory equipment such as liquid handlers and plate readers is necessary.


Responsibilities

  • Preparation of necessary buffers and solutions will be needed if not purchased.
  • Screening assays for inhibition of cell proliferation and other general bioassays, including ELISA assays and PCR-based assays.
  • Keeping accurate records of experimental data and writing reports in a timely manner.


Qualifications

  • BS or MS in molecular, cellular, or immune biology, or related biological sciences with at least 1-2 years of experience. Position/title might change depending on the experience.
  • Hands-on experience with in vitro cell-based assays and ELISA assays is needed.
