Alani Nu is on pace to grow revenue by 3X-4X from 2021 to 2022 and again in 2023 due to growth in the retail market. Alani Nu’s goal is to be the go-to ‘Better for You Brand’ for everything from nutritional supplements, energy drinks, snacks and much more.
The role
The Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist – Food & Beverages will support our expansion in the Beverage, Nutrition, and Personal Care products. In this role you will apply your experience to aid in ensuring that our products are accurately labelled and compliant with local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities

• Be a key technical contributor in the development of new or changing products.
• Responsible for regulatory development and review of all products for ingredient, formula, and packaging compliance against relevant US federal regulations.
• Other duties as required.
• Support all regulatory related activities, including but not limited to: researching industry updates, labeling compliance, ingredients, and claims; support the review processes for packaging, marketing materials, and digital information.
• Interpret regulations to ensure product and packaging claims are supported.
• Work with Product Development, Quality, and Marketing leadership to support marketing initiatives and brand assets (i.e. label copy, web content, marketing collateral, etc.).
• Responsible for communicating and managing project timelines and needs, maintaining work to meet timelines.
• Ensure advanced knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory trends in nutrition, labeling, foods, and food standards.

Key Skills And Experience Required

• Demonstrated strength in inspiring a team-oriented collaborative environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related fields.
• Knowledge of regulatory affairs, quality documentation, and business processes (stage gates).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks, conduct calculated risk assessments, and work independently.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Has a demonstrated passion that aligns with the core values of Alani Nu.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of responsibility in food/beverage or supplement industry.
• Experience with ESHA Genesis is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
