Job Description

Role: Project Manager

Location: New Heaven, Connecticut


  • Team Management: Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including IT professionals, stakeholders, and vendors, to ensure efficient project execution and successful delivery.
  • Compliance and Security: Apply industry-standard project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to optimize project delivery, resource utilization, and IT governance processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by conducting project post-mortems, capturing lessons learned, and implementing process enhancements for future projects.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, including business units, senior management
  • Project Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk registers, change logs, and other project-related artifacts.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Create and manage project budgets, track expenses, and allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements within budgetary constraints.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for IT initiatives, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and evaluate potential risks and issues related to technology implementation, security, data integrity, and system performance. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure adherence to project requirements, timelines, and service-level agreements.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure that IT solutions meet established standards, specifications, and user requirements.


Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • 8+ years of experience as an IT project manager, handling complex technology projects and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and IT service management processes is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
