Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.
Within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, the Spares Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring that the right spare parts, are in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost in support of global capacity requirements. Microsoft has an exciting opportunity on the Spares Supply Chain team for a Senior Program Manager to manage our internal customer relationships with key Engineering Groups (EG). The Spares Supply Chain is transforming the cloud service parts supply chain to enable increased customer focus, quality, and efficiency.  This position is vital for supporting existing operational processes and future system changes as part of the journey to a world-class supply-chain and maintenance repairs and operations organization. 
Responsibilities
  • Reviews and drives performance at the Engineering Groups level of grain to proactively identify emerging risks and gaps in Spares Supply Chain performance, influencing others via data to drive improvement efforts
  • Acts as the single point of contact for Engineering Groups for operational support from the Spares Supply Chain
  • Drives business reviews with select Engineering Groups to review operational performance, roadmaps, and mutual areas of help needed
  • Understands and supports the delivery of Engineering Groups roadmaps from a Spares standpoint, ensuring the Spares SC is set up for success to meet emerging capacity goals
  • Builds collaborative relationships with key Engineering Groups contacts, acting as the voice of the customer into the Spares and Warranty Supply Chain
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstated history of driving cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges
  • Proficiency in data analytics
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain or a related function
  • Ability to synthesize varying data points and points of view to higher management
  • Master’s degree in Ops/Industrial /Manufacturing Engineering or Business
  • Prior experience in Spares and / or Fulfillment processes, preferably in the high-tech industry
Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
