We are seeking a Sr. Product Owner to join the Experian Automotive OEM & lender team. Your role will be critical to support revenue generation through innovation for our broad range of automotive insights-based solutions in the OEM, OEM lender, and strategic alliance space. You will play a critical role in defining and executing new product features to drive success of our overall product strategy.


Our ideal candidate will be passionate about working in the auto industry and serving our customers across the OEM, and Strategic lender channels. They should be able to clearly communicate with people at all levels. We are looking for an energetic self-starter with a high sense of urgency and good follow-through capabilities. They require the ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment, with excellent time management and organization skills. We are looking for a team player and positive influencer, this role requires many interactions cross-functionally with the ability to provide clear direction to our development team.


Responsibilities


  • Monitors activities and ensures adherence to company policy and federal laws and regulations.
  • Solves problems at the detailed level, using the latest agile technical approaches with a strong understanding of data requirements and capabilities, functional usability, technical design, and software development supporting a next generation product line and core products.
  • Create performance metric reports for benchmarking using strong data visualization to provide clear value-added input that management or customers can render actionable insights with the information. Tracks ongoing progress and results for products and pilot programs.
  • Conducts in depth reviews to identify potential data quality, product, and product user experience issues. Conducts root cause analysis to identify short-term and long-term recommendations for potential remedy or improvement.
  • Forecasts and monitors achievement to product goals.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to help establish process and documentation for existing and new products. Work with Product Marketing to create and transition concepts to sales collateral and other sales enablement materials.
  • Collaborates with clients and other departments to create detailed data and functional requirements from SMEs and create business requirements, technical and function specifications, and user stories that will help develop our product capabilities.
  • Acts as a liaison between business and technology functions to move development through the product life cycle.
  • Manage the marketing plans for the AutoCount solutions.
  • Conducts marketing strategy and market research related to lender data, OEM data, BI platforms, and API products.
  • Works with support, contracting, compliance, and credentialing teams to onboard product pilot clients.
  • Manages the development and implementation of both new and existing products in the AutoCount portfolio of solutions.
  • Be responsible for designing and launching solutions for OEMs, lenders and business development opportunities.
  • Owns backlog prioritization, sprint planning and other agile development.
  • Helps research competition and client use cases to continue to improve product development.


Qualifications


  • Hands-on experience in creating concept flows, uses cases, functional modeling.
  • Experienced in all aspects of business and data analysis.
  • Strongly empathetic with varying customer types and how our products can satisfy their needs.
  • High degree of experience with lender and/or OEM business
  • Willing to work within a team, handle feedback, and creatively engage and debate with colleagues.
  • Experience in project/product launch and running pilots.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of automotive experience and industry knowledge required, including business analysis and/or product management.
  • Experience in full product development lifecycle in an agile environment and ability to write requirements for development and shepherd project through completion.
  • Highly accountable, with a feeling of responsibility for every deliverable that the team provides.
