The Senior Product Manager will be fully responsible for the development and implantation of all marketing strategies and tactics for healthcare professionals (HCPs) for Merz Therapeutics in the U.S. The Sr. PM manages product portfolios, product life-cycles and establishes deep customer insights to guide the development of strategy & messaging, as well as promotional peer-to peer educational programs. This individual will report to VP of U.S. Marketing and will have 1 direct report to support their responsibilities.
- Cross-functional Teamwork: Builds effective working & cross-functional relationships with key internal customers (e.g., sales, medical, legal, regulatory, reimbursement)
- Work collaboratively with PRC (promotional review committee) for the approval of all materials.
- Brand Awareness: Executes marketing strategy for exhibits, sponsorships, peer-to-peer programs, and scientific expert meetings at medical conventions and trade shows.
- People Management: Provides job execution guidance to their direct report and works out an annual performance and development which effectively gets the best out of them and ensures their professional development.
- Customer Engagement: Develops and supports execution of promotional speakers’ bureaus and peer to peer educational programs directed at healthcare professionals; Develops and maintains strong external relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Budget Management: Assumes budget accountability for the assigned professional budget and proactively monitors costs against such budget.
- Agency Management: Leads partnerships with all external vendors to ensure timely completion of marketing projects.
- Further Tasks: Develops and delivers presentations as needed to commercial management and other internal groups.
Education Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required in science or business.
Professional Experience:
- Knowledgeable with neurology therapeutics preferred.
- Minimum of -4-5 years of experience in product marketing in specialty pharmaceutical, biotechnology industry, life sciences, or other complex disease state required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (including languages):
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to support and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with promotional review committee preferred.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Negotiating skills, specifically with business partners or management.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other departments as necessary to achieve business goals.
