Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class Source to Pay Team and is looking for an exceptional Senior Procurement Manager to lead our buyer and analyst procurement team. This position requires a well-rounded leader who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a global, hyper-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. The Procurement Manager will be passionate about all aspects of Purchasing with specific experience and focus on procurement operations, indirect procurement, and supplier diversity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the company’s overall direction and performance of the Procurement function and will transform the process into the most effective and efficient solution for scalable, long-term growth. They will be able to streamline workflows between the business processes and systems impacted by indirect procurement and will develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure and monitor success. These actions will result in the right business decisions for the company, as well as its internal and external stakeholders.
We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.
Your Impact
- Effectively communicate PTP values and responsibilities, consistently providing education to stakeholders on how to most effectively engage Procurement
- Manage global, PTP transactions to ensure purchase order (PO) issuance are executed in accordance with the company standards and policies
- Partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers to establish advantageous purchasing, commercial terms, and payment requirements
- Consistently draw from past experience and ongoing benchmarking to optimize processes
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Indirect PTP function including the development of global strategies, policies, and operations (e.g. supplier risk/onboarding/data master, procurement, compliance, etc)
- Ensure PTP policies are documented, monitored, and, applied globally and regionally as necessary
- Cultivate relationships with team and key stakeholders by listening, partnering, and educating teams on how PTP values and strategies will optimize the business
- Mentor team members - Ensure they are set up for success and can achieve and/or exceed required expectations and drive career development plans
- Streamline, transform and monitor the effectiveness of the overall operations. Drive PTP continuous improvement, automating processes, and implementing change management activities as applicable
- Collaborate with direct and indirect sourcing to manage Supplier Diversity efforts
- Develop and manage PTP key performance indicators and compliance reports - analyzing trends, monitoring various on policy vs. off-policy transactions, spend, preferred vs. non-preferred suppliers, internal customer feedback, etc.
- Evaluate supplier risk; manage supplier onboarding and ongoing data management
- Collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing function to insure policies, practices, tools, and strategies align for overall team goals achievement
- Review and improve PTP cycle time, working closely with internal stakeholders including Supply Chain Management, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Accounting, etc.
Your Experience
- Strong MS Office and presentation skills
- Advanced skills in quantitative applications such as Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse solutions, Microsoft Excel, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret information from various sources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team-player with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
- Minimum of 8+ years within Indirect PTP function
- Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or other business-related field or equivalent military experience required

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $129,700/yr to $209,750/yr.
