The Invoicing team is foundational to this success and in the role of Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for building a team of highly motivated operators who in support of a positive customer experience, work backwards from technology and optimization with zero tolerance for inaccuracies.


About the role:


As the Senior Operations Manager, Invoicing, you will join a team full of highly passionate people focused on creating a streamlined end to end invoicing experience. Managing the invoicing operations team will directly impact the client’s experience and the company’s cash flow. This will play a critical part in building out our first Center of Excellence based out of Dallas, Texas. This will be an on-site role, in a brand new office location, where you will have the prime opportunity to be involved in everything from selecting your team to determining the long term support strategy.


You will:


  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.
  • Drive impact: Deliver key business outcomes, in both performance against metrics and gains in efficiency.
  • Ensure Operators have the tools they need to be successful. Be in the trenches with them to actively solve problems with the right sense of urgency.
  • Lead, scale and manage your team: Hire, mentor, and train a high performing team of operators who go above and beyond in handling the invoicing needs of our customers.
  • Measure: be on top of your success metrics for invoicing in a rapidly growing and ambiguous environment and hold your team accountable to results.
  • Collaborate cross functionally: Work closely with the Account Management, Product, and Operations teams to ensure an optimal end to end customer experience.


You should have:


  • A self-starting attitude with a tolerance for ambiguity, and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Proven track record in developing improving productivity and delighting customers
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or Finance
  • A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • Startup or high growth company experience preferred
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Experience in a B2B environment with unique and varied customer needs
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
