Job Description
Responsible for leading the Content Operations team on projects and performing as the Department point person for questions and training of less experienced team members. Supports the Digital Marketing and Merchandising efforts through the production of on-line content, site pages, promotional banner placement, and promotion codes.
Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinates with internal teams to create business requirements for website page updates, additions or enhancements; leveraging past experience and continuous learning of online user experience best practices.
  • Turns creative designs/layouts into a finished product, utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and XML as needed, adhering to tight deadlines, specific guidelines and styles, and website accessibility standards, with minimum supervision.
  • Provides immediate day-to-day support of page/promo production-related requests in a timely manner. Performs project scheduling and troubleshoots a variety of issues relating to content production and execution. Provide off-hour Content Operations support for releases and emergency fixes for shared support across the team.
  • Works closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Copy, SEO, Engineering, and other functional teams. Creates new or updates existing promotional pages and integrated site placements through the use of a browser-based web content management application. Creates promotional codes using management platform.
  • Represents team in meetings and may present projects and ideas to the team and serve as the main point of contact for projects relating to the content administration tools.
  • Manages a queue of work for both manual and automated processes from pre-production to live site. Provides page production, editing and maintenance support for internal website prototyping environment.
  • Leads Content Operations team on project items. Coaches, mentors and trains less experienced team members in order to assist in increasing the competency level of the team. Creates, improves, and documents team processes and guidelines.
  • Converts/optimizes external content sources, such as HTML, MS Word, Text, graphics, etc. as needed to comply with internal standards.
  • Performs quality assurance, cross-browser, and breakpoint validation for projects.

Basic Qualifications
  • Hands on experience with web languages, such as HTML (including hand-coding), CSS, JavaScript/jQuery (presentation layer), and XML.
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year web authoring and production experience in business-to-consumer or business-to-business environment OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years web authoring and production experience in a business-to-consumer or business-to-business environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment supporting many projects at once, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and secure all necessary inputs for a successful and timely execution.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office: Word (creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools), Excel (formatting text and borders of cells, working with workbooks and worksheets, using range names, referencing cells, sorting, and auto filtering) and PowerPoint (creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts).
  • Experience with project management (planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with the application of search engine optimization (SEO) and website accessibility best practices.
  • Experience with imaging tools, such as Photoshop.
  • Experience working in or with Graphic Design.
  • Experience with HTML editors, such as Dreamweaver.
  • Experience in the indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.
  • Experience with browser-based content management systems including Drupal, AEM and Teamsite.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Marketing or Business or Web Design Production Certificate
  • Experience with copy editing.
