Senior Network Engineer Jobs

This company is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer in the Information Technology department, reporting to the Network Operations Manager.
This role can work in the Dallas or Washington, DC office with hybrid work capabilities and will be responsible for ensuring that the firm’s mission-critical network and infrastructure systems are available and properly always functioning. The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, and monitoring the firm’s voice, video, wireless, LAN, and WAN networks. The Engineer will be responsible for identifying technical deficiencies in designs, developing solutions, and driving them to completion.
What You Will Be Doing

• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure to support cloud migration and delivery of various technology solutions, including IaaS and PaaS models, using the full suite of Microsoft Azure resources.
• Perform risk assessments and security audits, report findings, and take corrective actions.
• Hands-on experience designing and building resilient modern technology infrastructure, including SD-WAN, SSE, ACI, and cloud architectures.
• Identify manual operational tasks and develop automation to mitigate network issues and repetitive tasks using Ansible or similar solution
• Research emerging technologies in support of infrastructure efforts and recommend technologies that will foster infrastructure adaptability.
• Provide highly technical consulting and leadership identifying and implementing systems that assist functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives.
• Manage various large-scale, global, enterprise network topologies, including designing, deploying, and maintaining LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure and all associated sub-systems such as Cisco IOS/NX-OS switches, NGFW security devices, IPS/IDS, and load balancers.
• Contribute to written material, including Knowledge Base articles, design documents, test plans, and other material as needed. Experience with MS Visio is a plus. Lead projects to define and implement network infrastructure in support of the business.
• Manage and implement a full spectrum of network and cloud-specific security models in conjunction with Information Security and Compliance teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of core infrastructure technology experience
• SEIM
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (BS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred); substantial related work experience may substitute
• Experience with any four or more of the following technologies:
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in the operations of IP Video Conferencing systems
• A minimum of four years’ experience as a senior network engineer
• SolarWinds or other Enterprise monitoring platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems. Propose effective solutions, understand, and apply business vision/direction
• Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and innovation
• Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
• VPN
• Networking routing and switching certification. CCNP or equivalent certification preferred
• Zero Trust Network Access
• Cisco Unified Communications Manager
• Enterprise Firewalls
• Possess a deep understanding of various network protocols and technologies such as OSPF, BGP, VRF, MPLS, EIGRP, VxLAN, OTV, Packet capturing tools, TCP/IP, and QoS
• Enterprise Wireless Networks
• Working knowledge of ITIL Framework
• Strong service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, management, and outside business partners
• Hands-on Experience with implementation and administration of Network Access Control solutions such as Forescout or Cisco ISE
