The position's main role is to configure, test, maintain, and administer IT Security related networking equipment and applications. A secondary role is to assist with the overall execution of the IT Security program, and support other non-network related security systems and functions. This includes ensuring the availability of network security devices such as firewalls, gateways, proxies, DDoS mitigation, and monitoring systems. Requirements

• Operational Management
• Be knowledgeable of the overall Security Program, and write or edit portions as needed
• Recommend, schedule, and perform IT Security related network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
• Be knowledgeable of a broad range of Information Security standards and best practices across the industry, set new standards for best practices
• Acquisition & Deployment
• Configure, test, deploy, operate, and maintain Next Generation firewalls and monitoring/management consoles or system.
• Support the deployment of workstations, network devices, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, encryption systems, and all host security systems.
• Lead, coordinate and participate in key process improvements as they relate to network security.
• Manage all firewalls including firewall rule and policy deployment.
• Coordinate and collaborate with all aspects of the IT Infrastructure team to minimize security friction while maintaining high standards for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of systems..
• Conduct research on IT Security related network hardware, software, and protocols in support of procurement and development efforts.
• Participate in and support policy creation and review, and the development of long-term strategic goals for networking systems.
• Perform network, and security audits.
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
