Job Description

[c. $300-400k Comp Package, Hybrid Working]


Step into the exciting world of a global institutional investment management firm as a Network Engineer, right in the heart of New York. You'll join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, diving into thrilling projects in a hands-on environment. If you've had a taste of the financial trading sector and hunger for more, this is the perfect stage for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement security measures and firewalls
  • Automate network processes using tools like Ansible and Python
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain documentation and provide support
  • Design and manage network routing and switching


Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of colocation datacenter connectivity and telecom technologies
  • Familiarity with public cloud providers like AWS
  • Willingness to participate in weekend work and on-call rotation
  • Experience with network automation using Ansible and Python
  • Preferred experience in the financial industry, especially with Market Data and low-latency environments
  • Strong understanding of firewall and security fundamentals
  • Expertise in routing, switching, and BGP
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (in a similar role)
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools and fault management
