TouchNet, a Global Payments Company, located in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to join our growing team!

As our Senior Network Administrator you will install, configure, maintain, support, and secure the organization's network communications, including LANs and/or WANs. Identifies network problems, isolates root causes, and initiates corrective action. Determines priority of action and additional resources required, based on severity of service interruption. Provides technical analysis to all customers to isolate issues and develop strategies to restore or activate services. Interacts with Telecommunication Engineers, LAN Administrators, and transmission and RF staff regarding ongoing network activities. Ascertains compliance with security, safety, and environmental guidelines. Generates reports on network performance, trouble-shooting results, and routine maintenance of network elements. This role requires individuals to work within the demands a global 24x7 High availability transaction oriented network. Ability to translate business requirements into network requirements and collaboratively work with other technical teams to deliver an overall solution.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Recognizes and resolves advanced problems and issues according to corporate policies/procedures
  • Generates advanced level reports on network performance, trouble-shooting results, and routine maintenance of network elements
  • Participates in collaboration in a team environment
  • Assists with the design, configuration, testing, documentation, and implementation of advanced network designs and components
  • Day-to-day administration of the Datacenter network, servers, and platform software
  • Providing technical support to internal users
  • Provides mentorship to entry/lower level team members
  • Reviewing systems log and responding to incidents
  • Provides Network problem solving solutions within the Global Payments network
  • Performing routine maintenance and upgrades on systems/software
  • Development and support of automation routines
  • Participates in advanced Network project tasks with internal and external clients
  • Acting as an escalation point for Datacenter-related customer issues

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to internal users

What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?

  • Experience with Java (JVM) administration/troubleshooting
  • Apache Web Server experience is a plus
  • Information Security experience/credentials are a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Tomcat/JBoss/Wildfly experience is a plus
  • Programming background is a plus
  • Experience with shell scripting (Windows shell/PowerShell/bash) for automation
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Must be self-directed
  • Experience with Python for automation
  • Experience with Windows server
  • A passion for technology
  • Experience with Cisco firewalls a plus
  • GCP experience is a plus
  • Experience with Active Directory
