Senior Materials Engineer Jobs

What you’ll do:

• Develop heat treat and nitride cycles for new parts or reworks.
• Create and/or review test reports.
• Act as materials expert and assist with potential materials related issues.
• Communicate both orally and in writing with other departments and cognizant engineers in a precise, logical, informative, and tactful manner.
• Work with management to recommend opportunities for technology advancement.
• Audit and approve special process suppliers
• Assist manufacturing troubleshooting special processes.
• Direct and lead failure analysis for Euclid products.
• Support engineering/design teams on development programs or problem solving.
• Review and lead implementation of required Industry Specifications or changes to existing specifications.
• Review furnace uniformity surveys and heat treat parameters.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited institution.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Five or more (5+) years of experience in materials testing, evaluation, or process control.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in materials science or metallurgy.
