Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and contractor staff who support Finance, HR, and Legal systems capabilities.
  • Propose new technology based on cost-benefit analysis and the need to address key capabilities gaps.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to determine systems roadmap priorities for corporate applications and data services.
  • Serve as the principal IT business partner for Finance, HR, and Legal functions.
  • Establish service level and systems reliability metrics and ensure consistent attainment.
  • Act as an internal advisor to align processes and systems capabilities with industry best practices.
  • Lead systems and vendor evaluation efforts for business partner data and applications.
  • Lead ERP consolidation and enhancement efforts, managing outside managed services and consulting partners.

Education & Experience:

  • ERP implementation or upgrade experience with one of the following leading ERP platforms: Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or Infor.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, with preference for majors relating to business, finance, or computer science or similar fields of study.
  • Demonstrated knowledge spanning five (5) or more of the following business functions: general ledger, financial consolidations, procurement, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, 3PL integrations, HRIS, learning management, legal contracts, and payroll.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Visio.
  • Business process design and documentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into solutions.
  • Working knowledge of finance & accounting terminology and best practices.
  • At least seven (7) years of experience implementing and supporting finance systems and processes. Five (5) years of total experience acceptable for candidates who have worked for major consulting firms on challenging client initiatives.
  • At least two (2) years of implementation and people leadership.
  • Relevant Master’s degree (technology, computer science, MBA, data science, etc.) a plus.
  • Innovative and proactive mindset.
  • Flexibility to wear several hats, ranging from strategy to hands-on systems work as needed.
  • Demonstrated business communications, influencing, and situational awareness skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in the pharmaceuticals, medical device, or life science industry.
  • Direct experience with Legal Contracts management systems
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar certifications.
  • Prior experience working in a lean IT organization where each person must apply diverse skills and take responsibility for multiple processes and systems.
  • Direct experience and skills relating to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain ERP platform.
  • Experience with a leading HR platform such as ADP, Ceridian Dayforce, Oracle HCM, or Workday.
  • Business or IT consulting experience, especially related to business and systems Digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with systems integrations and related technology, with preference for Microsoft Azure capabilities (Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory).
  • Skills with one or more of the following: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and QuickBooks Enterprise.
  • Project management experience and certifications.
  • Experience with content management platforms: Veeva Vault, Master Control, DXC, SharePoint, Egnyte, DocuSign, and similar.
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Ability to work both as an architect, a leader, program manager and hands-on individual contributor.
