Position Summary

Position is responsible for providing safe, timely and cost-effective repairs to machinery and facilities. Must take a preventative and predictive approach to identifying problems and taking appropriate action to solve. Ultimately, this resultin efficient plan operations, minimizes production down time, and ensures that products are manufactured in a safe and cost-effective environment.
Position reports to Facilities & Maintenance Manager, in Colorcon P.R., LLC. plant facility. May be required to work various shifts in order to meet production demands. Works into the Dry, Wet and Operations departments.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide project technical support
• Skills in handling the tools necessary for the repair of equipment.
• Skills in repairing and maintaining the company’s electrical / plumbing systems and physical structure.
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Responsible for maintaining the wastewater treatment plant working within the established requirements.
• Inspect machinery for defects.
• Operate Forklift Truck.
• Able to trouble shoot and repair equipment.
• On call responsibility to provide support when needed.
• Backup the maintenance and reliability coordinator duties when needed.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
• Back-up to process the cardboard drums’ recycling.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Arts Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technician Degree preferably in Electricity, Refrigeration, or related field preferred.
• Must be bilingual - English & Spanish
• Experience with:
• Must have minimum (1) one year experience in a manufacturing environment with experience in the areas of facility maintenance, machine maintenance and repair equipment installations.
• Experience with industrial electricity.

• Forklift truck.
• HVAC
• Mathematical.

• Mechanical, plumbing and welding preferred.
• Small project maintenance experience.
• Mechanic and Power hand tools, welding equipment and voltage testers Manufacturing equipment
• Experience with Calculators
• Electric and hydraulic finger lifts
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications and Intermediate Level PC.
• Must be proficient in the use of electrical and mechanical hand and tools
• Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• PM Software experience.
• Instrumentation/Control experience.
• Requires ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and work at heights 10-20 feet above plan floor plus working on the roofs of the building.
