JOB SUMMARY

 

This is a dual-role splitting time between IT Support and Facilities Maintenance.

 

As an IT Support Specialist, you will have the chance to work directly with our internal and external customers on a variety of issues and projects. Daily tasks include answering phone calls, responding to emails, documenting issues and processes, and completing tickets in a timely manner. Sound intimidating? As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will have the chance to support all aspects of our physical facilities. This includes general maintenance tasks related to a number of trades, including plumbing, electrical, landscaping, HVAC, construction, sanitation, etc.

 

This is an on-site role located in Wichita, KS and is not open to remote locations. Some degree of after-hours and weekend work may be required.

 

DURING A TYPICAL DAY 

  • Provide frontline support to users of our in-house software and systems
  • Inspect and maintain alarm systems, including security and fire
  • Routine equipment maintenance, including preventative tasks
  • Coordinate and work with outside vendors and contractors
  • Patch, repair, and paint drywall holes and abrasions, ceiling tiles, etc.
  • Replace failed light bulbs, sockets, etc.
  • Respond to verbal and written requests for service
  • Work in the database to ensure accuracy and assist with meeting compliance standards
  • Work with other teams to address and resolve issues that require escalation
  • Mow and trim grass/lawn areas, perform general cleanup, and maintain equipment
  • Monitor daily processes to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Repair leaking plumbing fixtures

 

QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • Always vigilant to maintain high degree of safety in all activities
  • Ability to safely set-up, climb, and work off elevated platforms, including ladders and lifts
  • High attention to detail, able to notice and address items without explicit assignment
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or SQL Server Management Studio
  • Safely and legally operate a motor vehicle
  • Able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Willingness to ask for help when needed
  • Able to lift and carry at least 70 pounds and perform other normal activities such as bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, pushing/pulling, working overhead, etc.
  • Experience working with IT ticketing systems
  • Skill, experience, and capability to use common tools (power and hand), appliances, and devices
  • Experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment
  • Ability to effectively manage time and tasks, including prioritization
