The Azurity Accounting Team is searching for a Senior Accountant to join the team as we build out strong finance processes and ensure quality information is available for decision making. This person needs to be a leader and go-getter who can take full ownership of their areas. The Senior Accountant needs to build relationships within the business (i.e., Operations, Commercial teams, etc.) to ensure information is flowing from to accounting and then to FP&A. When issues arise, this person should be ambitious, ready to dig in to determine root cause and the path forward. Our team needs a competent, dependable, and flexible partner that is willing to learn from others. The Accounting Team has exposure to Finance leadership and plays an important role in ensuring the financial health of the company. This position offers a steppingstone to expanded leadership opportunities within the Finance Team. Role Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant, GL, is part of a GL team run by the Assistant Controller/Head of GL. This role has responsibility to record business transactions timely and appropriately, and fully own certain sections of the financial statements.

The Senior Accountant, GL, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performing ad-hoc accounting research, making recommendations for proper accounting treatment and documenting transactions
• Supports the external audit process, as needed.
• Driving the development and maintenance of standard costs
• Calculating inventory reserves
• Reading and comprehending contracts, then utilizing accounting knowledge to record the related transactions.
• Owning inventory costing and change analysis related to inventory costing.
• Fully owning the general ledger accounts within his/her responsibility and ensuring compliance with US GAAP; calculating and explaining variance analysis

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Inventory Accounting experience
• Strong PC skills required including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Active CPA license; working knowledge of US GAAP
• Minimum of 5 years accounting or 3 years auditing experience
• Very detail oriented with strong teaming and interpersonal skills.
• Process improvement mindset
• Manufacturing industry experience
• ERP system experience
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
