What you’ll be doing...

As a Technical Network Project Manager for the Public Sector Federal Aviation Administration Enterprise Network Engineering Services (FENS) engineering team, you will be a Project Manager on a multi-discipline team that will deliver and manage the technology roadmap for the FAA infrastructure architecture and Verizon OSS management infrastructure based on Verizon’s solutions and services. As the lead architect, you will have the responsibility to design cross product/technology, third party solutions, integrated to deliver on the FENS requirements. You are well versed across multiple technology disciplines to include but not limited to Enterprise Solutions, MPLS, Cyber Security, Managed Services, Voice services, Cisco DMPVN, Wireless (4G and 5G), application performance, IT, Cloud, Enterprise Solutions, and more. You develop and manage design review, testing, implementation related action items in support of the FENS Engineering program. You will coordinate with the FENS PMO and over all Program Manager on the technical aspects of the FENS program.

You will be focused on the technical project management aspects of delivering integrated architectures for the FAA FENS opportunity. The goal will be to deliver the best technical solutions along with the best customer service. You will need to:

• Understanding customer business challenges.
• Documenting, tracking, coordinating responses, and closing out technical action registers.
• Models based on technical architecture.

• Coordinate with internal and external teams in creating and delivering complex, integrated solutions to meet our customer requirements
• Identify, own, and drive resolutions to gaps in the FENS technical lifecycle delivery processes.
• Work with the FENS Chief Engineer to assess, prioritize, and manage actions and projects across the FENS engineering team.

You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and can balance contending demands and priorities.

You'll need to have:

• Experience in supporting and project managing technical solutions for designing or architecting, implementing, and delivering survivable and resilient mission critical infrastructure.
• Experience in collaborating in cross functional teams with understanding of how business and technical requirements interweave to create solutions.
• Knowledge of technical product and systems development lifecycle within a large global enterprise environment.
• 15 or more years of relevant work experience.
• Over ten years’ experience in supporting projects for deploying and implementing telecommunications solutions in the field.
• Bachelor’s degree with 15 or more years of work experience, or 20 years of direct work experience.

• Ability to obtain a Government security clearance of Public Trust.

• Highly organized with an ability to manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication, organization and project management skills.

Even Better if you have:

• Public Sector Domain Experience to include both Federal and Department of Defense contract and procurement experience.
• Experience working with the FAA preferred.
• Five or more years of successful experience with strategic solutions and/or systems integration design and solutions selling experience (project management).
• Communication, organization, and negotiation skills with the ability to successfully work multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in the Aviation industry.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance requirement upon hire.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
